The mission of the World Education Forum is to increase the number of children which do gain access to education by influencing National Policy decision-making on a global scale.

Approach
The World Education Forum will focus on the following aims:
  • Influence the world opinions on investment and the care for children between 0 and 18 years old
  • Set standards for educational investment for separate countries and undertake research on the actual spending
  • Influence the global great Media Networks like CNN, Al Jazeera, BBC
  • Disseminate all kind of educational data and outcomes to politicians, media and educational leaders in the world
  • Encourage the development of leadership platforms (regional, national and continental) as part of the World Education Forum
  • Organize a biennial meeting of all active leaders in education to reset and evaluate standards, position papers to present the outcomes and rankings
  • Background
It is over 20 years ago that in 1989 the United Nations adopted the UN Convention of the Rights of a Child. It is shocking that recent surveys show that in most countries in the world these rights are still not well known nor respected. Millions of children have no access to education, three quarters of a billion people worldwide who cannot read or write and even more millions of children between the age of 4 and 14 years old are involved in Childs labour
      • Raise the alarm

It is time for educators in our world to raise the alarm on these issues. We are confident that the World’s Educational Leaders share the need to stand up and shout out loud on behalf of all children worldwide. As educators we accept the need and collective responsibility to ensure that education becomes an entitlement – a right – for our world’s  youngsters. We know that we cannot truly fulfill this task when there are no schools for these children to attend or if schools do not have the very basic resources to do the job.
    World Education Forum
In May 2011 the World Education Forum was established. The mission of the WEF is to increase the number of children which do gain access to education by influencing National Policy decision-making on a global scale. The WEF aims to set standards for educational investments for all countries through programmes which are economical and sustainable. We believe that these aims will be supported by schools all over the world because such a World Education Forum is independent, non-political and without religious constraint.
